I think his performance rose with Gilbert's in '11. This is closer to home. Just my opinion.

His early years were very promising, then got held back by some serious injuries. And although 2011 was probably a one-off, I'd say he is still a lot better than this.

Not that I think the case will be the same this year, but in 2012, he DNF'ed PV (and sucked on the stages he rode) and still went on to a great Ardennes-campaign.
