Diagreed. In the other thread he is arguing that Jens Voight is as great as Cadel Evans and was clean throughout his career.

Fine addition to the forum.

You are right about that. Swag is for Contador and Sagan, Class is for Froome and Voight. :)

The Dawg will go full mutant stage 5, cannot wait.

Also, is there a team time trial at the Tour? Sky is going to murder that one as well. Good stuff.

Of course there is. And it's not a joke, 28 km, the last 1.7 kilometres are up Côte de Cadoudal – a climb at 6.2% with a steepest section of 7.2%.

and as expected after how things looked on the road, minutes after TTT end, Froome is again no1 TdF favorite at bet365

i guess my feeling that he is finished as GT contender was wrong

Didn't even then when you posted that belief, that maybe, just maybe you were being a bit hasty in saying that?

Apparently there will be a 1.5 km of 6.5% just at the end of TTT with the rest being quite undulating as well.
If Team SKY will reach stage 9 in one piece, it will slaughter the rest. They are masters in negative splits and have soo many riders who are good in both climbing and TTing.

Stating facts is trolling? Wanna avatar bet that Froome will win stage 5 by over a minute?

Of course he won't, G will hitch a lift up the climb ;)

But to be serious, good to see G in yellow, especially as Viviani should have a very good shot at yellow tomorrow, with or without time bonuses.

With regards to the Alien, if he says he's in shape, then I'd say he is. I'm expecting a Spilak/Alien duel on Stage 5. I don't think either Nibali or Nairo are focusing on Romandie.

IMO if the TTT was flatter than that would give Sky a greater advantage. Being that they have better tt'ers, the flat course would still suit them, but it wouldn't suit the teams like Ag2r or Katusha who will probably have a number of climbers. A harder ttt course will just make it so the teams that generally are worse at tt'ing will limit their loses to the better teams.

Re: 2015, 69th Tour de Romandie: April 28 to May 5 (WT)

I'm a bit surprised by Sky's performance given the rather ramshackle nature of their team (most of the riders either returning from injury, crashes, the classics or all three in some cases!). The cold weather was probably decisive in their victory with Kennaugh, Rowe and Thomas very good in those conditions whereas Stannard turns into superman. Katusha's very impressive performance can also probably be explained by the weather (and one or two other things).

anyway, I would have appreciated an Orica win, even if a little less.
BMC got it wrong and went too fast at the end distancing the 5th and 6th rider
Belkin-Lotto beat 4 teams as said above ;)

Strange i hope this will not end in Wiggins/Froome way, normally Spilak is the leader.

OK. I've just looked at the profile. Although, Viviani is a decent climber (by sprinters' standards), it's probably a bit too hard for him.

Whether or not there are time bonuses would not be a factor affecting whether he got the jersey in a flatter stage. If there were no time bonuses, he would take it from G by having the lowest sum of finishing positions. If there were time bonuses, he would still beat anybody within striking distance of the jersey.

Lol, you are just crying inside because your amateur Tinkov team got owned by 15 seconds. Froome will win by 7 minutes in the Tour. Porte by 2 minutes in the Giro. You can't stop science.

First, Tinkoff lost 55 seconds.
Second, you're not funny.

Get lost.

I second this suggestion

Why any rider would even want to ride for that team is beyond my comprehension.

I think so too. He has a good chance on stage 3 and 4, but he'll be behind on GC at that point. :)
