Well, one thing is for sure: Küng will make a pointless attack at some point. Probably when the break has 2-3 minutes.

 I heard that he abandoned today, which seems to be confirmed by the results. Or is that another amazing event that is going to occur tomorrow?

Hofland should feel at home here.

This Giro has been entertaining so far, even in the flat stages. Something interesting is bound to happen. Meteorite strike, sudden parade of elephants, something like that.

A borefest is impossible in this Giro.

I predict 4 flat tires for Aru, a collision between König and Uran, 2 surprising attacks from Contador, hailstones as big as meat balls, 22 crashes and Cheng Ji as winner of the stage after a sick solo.

Bring it on! :)

Good. :)

Earthquake that splits the peloton at the front. AST was chasing the break when it happened.
T-10 after the stage:
Aru
Landa + 38
Cataldo + 1.13
Tiralongo + 13.25
Kangert + 13.35
Rosa + 18.52
LLSanchez + 33.13
Contador + 43.07
Kreuziger + 45.02
Uran + 45.26
I expect this to be a OTL :D

Yes sure, but the inconsequent nitpickers aka race commissars decided to not DQ the 174 riders finishing 43.23 behind stage winner Boy van Poppel.

Quiet and short this stage, as good as rest day really for most, although weary of crashes late on. Mezgec needs to show something here. The Gorilla to cry foul in the rain then leave the giro today.

Thanks for the best laugh of the day!

Guess I'll sit up too late on the edge of my seat, again, after all.

Thus far, this has been one of the best GTs I've ever watched.
I hope I'm wrong, but I'm somewhat afraid today's stage it's gonna be the turning point though. Boring flat stage, then Contador putting the GC to sleep in the ITT and a defensive third week will follow.

I'm going for Nizzolo today.

Aru and landa to wait 40 minutes on the next stage due to tidal wave to make it fair

Bardiani should go batshit crazy in the last few km's to try and dislodge some of those sprinters to give Boem a better chance of keeping the jersey.

Ale-Jet to put an exclamation mark on his Giro career by hitting the Ventolin™ just prior to the second roundabout and storming home to win by 5 lengths ahead of a fast-finishing Eugenio Alafaci

Gerrans not starting, just not his season

No spring chicken, either.

Not sure if he had the form for it, but would have been interesting to see whether he could have matched PhilGil yesterday.

Well, in cycling sometimes tactics are in direct opposition to the ability to carry out those tactics.
