Best grand tour in years, no matter what. Makes me hungry for the TDF where we'll hopefully see the big guns all in good health and proper form :)

Lots of people missed the opportunity to hurt Astana today.

Yeah, I really don't get why everyone was riding so meekly at Kangerts pace. Climb was hard enough for groups to be smaller than 20 guys

No clue.

Maybe everyone is riding on their limit or they are keeping their powder for tomorrow. But, they do miss a chance to attack at least Aru. He wasn't so rosy in the last two days. If they just let astana rides, they might as well exploded themselves. Hesjedal is still in 13 minutes. what was movistar is thinking? if they can't drop Aru might as well just let them ride.

I want to give Props to Villella today... Did alot of work for Hes-Jay and Contador. Well done for such a young rider.

If Contador did wait, it was maybe in the last 100m of the climb. It would not have done either rider a favour to have completed the stage riding alone for 35km. But he was not waiting until then.

What a BS Astana...Landa is not allowed...

Hesjedal climbing better than Contador at the end of The Giro, as I predicted.

Lol just stop right there

Wasnt Hesjedal stronger than Contador today? are you going to say that?

Ryder has never and will never be stronger than Alberto...today was another example.

We all know Alberto is stronger :p . Just give Ryder some props for his ride

Oh I am giving him major props..it's just proposing he's even close to Contador is incredibly flawed...Contador blew apart the whole peloton again today

Ryder is not stronger than AC but I think at this point in the race he is stronger than some of the guys sitting between him and AC on the GC.

if TS let him in the break tomorrow and let them up to 8 minutes, he might be overhauling some of the GC guy, and AC can watch each of them trying to drop each other. Surely, Aru is the most vulnerable one. But not sure if Amador has what it takes to take back time from Aru. Maybe Ryder can do in in the next 2 days with the help of TS (by letting the break goes to 7 minutes)?.. :D

Wow, what a group of Contador fanboys here. Although what he did today might have been justified it's far from classy.

This is not a teaparty.

No one said it's classy.

But, it is much better that he dished it out on the road instead of engaging in a war of words.

Err what?

Contador races like a true champion and those applauding him are not classy?

You need a mirror....

Surely everyone blasting Astana the other day for lack of sportsmanship should be doing the exact same today?

**** sake, they have stuck woman's tennis on instead of Podium ceremony and interviews. What a joke.

Yes, it would have been so much better if it had been men's tennis.

Today is called payback. Next time Astana will do it again it will be the payback for the payback.

Contador as always lets his legs do the talking. When Astana kicked him when he was down I said 'it's a race not a tea party' and today I say the same. No tea for Astana today, just the bitterness of being dumped as he rides off. LOL Aru the wilting flower was pulling Landa!

B**ls to Wall Old Time cycling folks. No stupid watts and coddling, put on a Spectacular Show in the style of Hinault.

This guy writes his Legend day by Day.

Bertie such a boss he even fixes a dropped chain whilst riding up hill without getting off the bike.

Totally invincible in this Giro!

You can blow everything to mythical proportions ofcourse

can't believe no one noticed the chain dropped because of a broken link which bertie replaced **before** putting the chain back. better yet: while the team car's mechanic was giving him a push, he slipped a front derailleur into contador's jersey pocket - contador replaced his front derailleur during the descent.

what, you think i make this stuff up??? :D

Oh, and I'm sure after Stage 16 when Katowa and Astana did what they did, you were totally fine with that??? If you mess with the bull, you are gonna get the horns.

Exactly. I don't like attacks when a GC contender is down or has a mechanical, but I am all for revenge and karma.
