Not sure why the first guy there was lifting him up - with a spinal cord injury you should never move the injured person.

And that idiot there is moving him. The worst you can do with people having neck injuries...

Yes that was stupid but he probably didn't know that, looks like he's just a spectator.

Hate to say it but this reminds me of Casartelli :-(

In that case every crash downhill reminds of Casartelli. Fabio crashed against a block of concrete and was pretty much dead at the spot.

We dont know what happened yet so lets not draw any conclusions of his injuries.

Wtf guys. I'm on my way home so I have no idea what's going on but reading those reactions gave me major goosebumps here.

True but if the airway is compromised then that takes priority. It was the first thing that went through my mind though when I saw him being flipped over like he was.

RAI just showed how Pozzo fell by himself - maybe hitting the guardrail
Getting a scar on the left side of his face, apparently

I saw the first images and that reminded me. It was not my intet to draw any conclusions. RAI just said that he moved when he was put in the ambulance. So thats good news

that replay suggests he most probably at least did not get a big hit to the roadside block or something similar, though we can't say much, hope it's not that serious (sorry for my previous comment, just thought Pozzo's Giro is probably over after another crash, not knowing how serious it is)

I really hope he will be okay...

I don't think it is necessary to show the replay of the crash so many times when there is no official reporting of his condition.
But that said it seemed his front wheel slipped to the side and then just snapped leaving him no chance of controlling the fall..

You don't know if he will be fine. Major complications can come within the next hours, or days. Perhaps he has got much brain damage. We just don't know.

For the moment, you can just hope the best.

Regarding the race: I think Orica should commit in the break and not aid in the bunch.
