2015 Giro Field Speculation

Give Cav a few of his key leadout train guys, Throw a couple climbers in for Uran, and then a few of the big engine types that can help both equally.

It's dumb for riders nowadays to think they need an entire team dedicated toward only accomplishing their goal. With the right riders a team can easily have a mix of goals and rider dedicated to those goals and be successful.

Couldn't agree more. A broader plan will also help the race imo.

Two more who will ride are Pelucchi and Colbrelli.

Pelucchi has said the Giro was his main goal this year, and Colbrelli said he was targetting certain stages in this Giro.

Not sure they're going with the designated leader approach, but surely a free role.

Hesjedal will be the designated leader in the Giro. Formolo has only 21 years old, i dont think he's ready to ride a GT as a leader.

In a recent interview Pelucchi said that Haussler will also ride the Giro, he'll be the sprinter dor the flat stages, Haussler will be he man for the harder stages that should also end with a sprint

That must mean IAM will target a top 10 with M.Frank at the TDF, if 3 of their other big riders are riding the Giro.

Ryder Hesjedal, Tom Danielson, Davide Formolo, Janier Acevedo, Andre Cardoso, Tom-Jelte Slagter, Edward King, Alan Marangoni and Moreno Moser.

They bring alot of climbers to support Hesjedal. This team can really explode the race in the mountains. What is your hopes for Canondale-Garmin next month?

I agree, they have an excellent team for stage hunting whereas I don't think they're guaranteed a top 10 on gc. Ryder could try to go for the mountains jersey....
