Can't wait for this stage.
Hoping for some good footage of key riders handling descents and corners in the last 10km or so.

Vasil or Chava I hope.

Contador will most likely extend his lead over GC rivals.

No Dumoulin/Martin/Wiggins means Contador/Porte/Uran podium in some order. Uran's likely the better time-trialist at this point but seems snake-bitten, Contador's the strongest man in the race but has been hurt, and Porte has spent the least amount of energy but on paper I'd rate his chances a little lower than the other two. Aru to finish 1:30 behind.

Küng DNF? Well then Alberto will win for sure :D

Just kidding, I think:
Cataldo
Zakarin +20
Contador +40
Uran +50
Porte +60
Aru +3 minutes
Landa +4 minutes
but I have no clue :p

Gaps still messed up, Flo. :D

But no way, Cataldo will gain time on Contador. Contador should go for his first stage win. Uran has Porte's immediate time to go for, so I think he will beat him. Contador, if in super shape, could beat all of them.

Contador
Uran, 20-40 secs+
Kiryienka, 40 secs-1 min+
Porte, 1 min-1.20 min+
Cataldo, 2.30-3.30 min+
Kreuziger, 3.30-4.30 min+
Aru, 5 min+
Landa, 8-10 min+

Zakarin (?)

And Kiryienka would have been my personal favorite to win if it wasn't for his lack of shape.

The guy is an ironman. He loves stages like this.

Aru will be the last rider to cross the line.

Or he'll have Cataldo and Landa drop back to him and do an Astana 3-men TTT ftw

Re: Stage 14: Treviso – Valdobbiadene 59.4 kms ITT

I hope that Contador has a really bad TT, not because I don't like him, I just think it would make the race much more interesting if Contador doesn't have an easy ride

1. Uran
2. Zakarin
3. Contador

I'm not going to even try to predict time gaps. I am hoping Aru loses lots of time. He'll be forced to go berserk in the mountains.

Good point. I'm certain Aru will catch Landa, interesting to see what will happen. I think that Aru will surprise in a positive way and Richie in a negative way. Contador might even win it, Uran to get on the podium both in the stage and in GC.

Zakarin should go all out and win this so that later on he'll be seen as a guy who could always time trial.

Van den Broeck, Gesink, Schleck.

Why keep people mentioning these riders? Don't they get that they will never come back.
I think JVDB will do slightly better than Andy in this time trial but not by much

sorry to all flat stage fetishists but it's time to start discussing this stage now.

Sounds better now. ;)

Porte gaining 3.17 on Contador. In the end he will lose the Giro by this 1 sec... thus the inconsequent nitpickers decided yet another Giro.

Hesjedal beating Contador by a minute? lolol

I think Contador wont be top 5 or even top ten of the stage and Hesjedal can put a minute of him, althoug he is everyday in breakaways or with the best and must be tired.

Forgot about Zakarin. I'll pick him to win it and push my previous three to 2-4. Who do yo guys figure goes fastest on the descent?
Don't say Betancur.

Küng to show that he is the next Cancellara.
Künig DNF, procyclingstats report.. :(

From BMC's website:

BMC Racing Team's Stefan Küng crashed heavily, along with two riders from CCC Sprandi Polkowice team, while descending off the climb of the Crosara, about 17 kilometers from the finish. He was able to continue for a short time but then stopped. The winner of a stage of the Tour de Romandie and the Volta Limburg Classic was taken by rescue squad to a nearby hospital. More details will follow on the extent of his injuries and condition as they become available.

Damn, I'd been hoping he'd put a couple of minutes into (almost) all the GC contenders. Hopes he's ok.

Contador is not hurt, Uran is..

Contador has nothing in his arm that could afect his position, strength, rest,... NOTHING. Today he hold the big champagne botlle with his left arm. Today he was second in an small climb, he is attacking, and showing the same strengh that before that crash, HE has NOTHING.

Contador seems to be in great shape,so i don't expect him to lose too much time.Aru could go either way lose +3min or surprise everybody and finish very close to Contador.

Of couse he is goint to lose too minutes, he is not good in long ITT, he is good in another kind of ITT. He is very strong, that is true...but we will see.

The pointis although he losed twoo minutes with Urán or Porte, they have to attack to win the Giro, it will be more interesting with Contador on the attack. I hope Aru and Landa dont lose too much and keep on trying.
