Lampaert with a very strong year so far. He won the Overall at Driesdaagse van West-Vlaanderen, came in 2nd at Ster ZLM Toer, finished inside the top 10 at Paris-Roubaix and some other good results. Now 2nd at the TT Championships. This kid got some potentail. :)

ITT Germany:

1. Martin, Tony 52:10.83 - 51.74 km/h
2. Arndt, Nikias 54:20.90
3. Schumacher, Stefan 55:08.63
4. Teutenberg, Lars 55:14.83
5. Knees, Christian 55:16.21
6. Westmattelmann, Daniel 55:31.32
7. Gretsch, Patrick 55:34.34
8. Sütterlin, Jasha 56:08.47
9. Stockhausen, Richard 56:43.20
10. Heßlich, Nico 57:15.88

I haven't seen the profile, but was the course flat?
Kelderman had about the same average speed while he had to ride 10km more. Hard to judge the amount of corners as well though.
Still that time of Kelderman looks better and better.

Maybe Martin didn't go all out ofcourse...

You can't really compare times from different courses with different conditions, different competition and so on. Martin also probably eased up a bit in the end considering that he was more than 2 minutes in front of number 2.

Am I wrong to think 8th is disappointing for Suetterlin?

No, it is disappointing. Ending up behind Martin and Gretsch could be expected, but behind Westmattelmann?

Westmattelmann finished last year 4th and Sütterlin 7th. 37 sec. behind Westmattelmann, today 21 behind Westmattelmann. So not that much of a suprise + this time trial is probably the season highlight of Westmattelmann, he peaked for that event.

He said afterwards that he simulated the TdF prologue, so he started really fast in the firt 14 km and then took it a bit easy after the first time check when he saw that he is in front.
With the right pacing he would be faster.

Navardauskas wins the Lithuanian ITT event.

Good man Preidler. The man likes to ride solo.

Its not too late for JVDB to switch focus, just like Devo did.

Are there any rules for how many riders the teams can start with?
Some teams - especially conti-teams - only have riders from one country, would they be allowed to have all their riders in the race?

Re: Re:

Unfortunately I think they will use the same course used over the last few years which is very flat!

See this web site http://velo29events.com/races/stockton-festival/stockton-grand-prix/

As a local I would prefer a Ronde type race along the Esk valley towards Whitby and back which could include the climb of Rosedale Chimney Bank which was shown in the video.

It's such a lame course for a NC. It'd be so cool if the whole race was on the circuit.
