Crushed them, even with a puncture :)

Was going to say that's closer than I would have expected. A puncture explains that.

Think the EBH puncture is a misunderstanding. The rider who came 4th, Vegard Stake Laengen, had a puncture, and it was first reported as EBH. Laengen had to ride half the TT on his road bike as the substitute wheel didn't fit the TT bike. Laengen was closest to EBH before his puncture, at 13.3 km EBH was 4 seconds after Laengen, but at 24,8 km EBH was 21 seconds faster than Laengen. Then Laengen had the puncture and lost over 2 minutes to EBH on the second half of the TT.

Latvia TT

1. SMUKULIS Gatis KAT 41'32" 15
2. SARAMOTINS Aleksejs IAM 08" 10
3. NEILANDS Krists RBD 02'22" 7

Last year Saramotins lost to Smukulis by 3 seconds, this year he loses by 8 seconds, and this marks the fifth straight year Saramtoins has finished second to Smukulis, and the seventh straight year Saramotins has been second overall

Not that it matters, but there was no puncture. Procycling.no reported puncture for EBH, but it was another rider. Few minutes after that they corrected themselves and apologized for 5 mins straight...but internet info picks up things in mysterious ways i guess :p

1. JVDB 58'32"33
2. Lampaert at 42"
3. Vandewalle at 1'07"
Did he accidentally redevelop into a TTist? Because the course was flat, so it's not as if this was a climbers TT.

He clearly gained power, but lost a bit of his climbing ability this year. The Giro says it all: great in the time trial, but an ordinary climber.

He was once junior world champion ITT though.

Am I wrong to think 8th is disappointing for Suetterlin?
