Backing away from being 99% sure? :p

What do you think about the proposed avatar bet? ;)

Hyperbole.

I meant to show I am pretty sure he'll do those 3 races.

Because he's targeted them before.

Does not seem like a good idea to me to skip Pais Vasco because, as someone else posted, he is one of those riders who needs races to get into top shape.

But if you want to bet, sure, why not. It's not like either of us knows anything about his schedule anyway.

BUT. I want the bet to be this way: I say he rides Tirreno, Catalunya, Pais Vasco. You say he'll only ride one of those races.

Wut? I don't think he'll only ride one of those three races, so why should I bet on that? I am on the other hand quite confident that he won't race all three when he'll also ride the Giro.

If you think it's more likely he won't do all three (and you therefore agree with me), we would have to do a different bet, but it won't be one where I bet on something I don't believe will happen.

You said you think he'll ride only one or two of those races. You can't do a bet "you bet he rides 3 I bet he doesnt." That's like one person saying I think OPQS will get 47 victories next season and another person then saying - I don't think they will get 47, let's bet

I don't want to bet when I'm not at least 95% certain I'll win the bet. The only two times I've ever engaged in an avatar bet I won: against - Rein Taaramae to win the white jersey at the 2012 TDF, and against - Bobby Gesink to finish higher up on GC than Contador at the 2014 Vuelta

Okay, let's make a bet about whether he'll race Paìs Vasco or not. I say he won't.

As for your analogy, it's more like one person saying "I'm 99% Contador will finish both the Giro and the Tour" and then another saying "Okay, I'll bet that won't happen".

Can we go for a three way bet? I don't think he'll win if he does ride it because he'll be trying to save himself where possible. I also maintain Froome will ride the Giro, but I'm not going to bet on THAT.

So you want to bet that AC will not win the Giro? I'll take you up on that. IF I were to lose (and that is a big if :p), whatever avatar you give me I'll have to stick in my signature because Cineteq would be giving me an avatar as well.

Some interesting picks. I agree with you on the GT's.
Man if Valverde did that well it would be funny to see if this forum could congratulate him on it!
I would like to see Wiggo defend his title (I'd like to see anyone beat Martin really), but I think it is pretty much set in stone that he will not be defending his title.

Have you bet on Contador winning the Tour?
You've pretty much covered everything else.

For the GTs:

Giro: Contador
TDF: Quintana
Vuelta: Froome

I suspect the days of multi GT wins in a single year are gone, but, that said, if there is one guy out there who could, it's Contador IMHO.

He is talking about someone betting with him on AC doing the double.
I'm betting with him that AC will win the Giro and podium the Tour.
I guess he is looking for someone else who will bet on the double.
Yes, we've bet whether Contador will participate in The Giro and Tour or not.
What I meant in the referent post is you leaning to the option he won't win the both.
Then, I've asked if there's anyone who'll win two GTs next season.

Aye, I'll meet you. £100 from you to Sightsavers if AC does the double, £100 from me to a charity of your choice if he doesn't. What say you?
Above is the explanation.
What are you saying... He'll win the both or just participate?

I read he might do Andalucia, Tirreno and Catalunya with some high altitude training after

Not sure where you got that from but it appears to be correct

At this stage, Contador’s race programme is almost set in stone. He will start the year at the Ruta del Sol before defending his Tirreno-Adriatico crown in March. From there he will travel to the Volta a Catalunya.

“Then it’s the Giro d’Italia, perhaps a small race during my recovery period and then the Tour de France. That recovery time is going to be crucial, though, and we’ve not finalised that part yet,” he says.
