Who is it that's surprised by Stybar's performance? I don't recall anyone saying that.

Well they didn't literally used the word surprised but:

Stybar hype is being justified. I didn't expect it tbh.

I don't think anyone thought stybar could do this.

+ there were some people complaining about Stybar hype and discussions about how Stybar really wasn't a favourite for this race in the who wins the Strade Bianchi thread which I can't be bothered to look up

Oh wow I was really right about Cancellara and Vanmarcke were going to be dropped on the steep climbs, but boy I was wrong about Stybar.

Nice one Wallenquist.

Valverde left too much on the road. He will decide to suck wheels again :)

Wow I must say, I didn't expect Valverde to crack like this!

Awesome race though, all the riders in the front were very strong and raced hard! :)

Happened exactly what I predicted :) wonder what are now thinking guys saying I'm "out of my mind" saying Stybar can outsprint Valverde here ?

Wow, well that was unexpected. Valverde used too much energy working in the break. Perhaps he should just have sucked wheel. Usually he'd crush GVA and Stybar on a climb like this.

Ugh, luckily Van Avermaet is as dumb as usual.

Van Avermaet did what he had to do. It was brave of him to attack. He saw that Valverde was weak and wanted to get the jump on Stybar. Unfortunately for him, Stybar was stronger.

Stybar was the best man, GVA didn't do anything dumb this time.

If you can't see that stybar was better then you don't know anything about cycling.
