Regardless of who's right or wrong, can someone explain the stupid bashing of 1 of the top3 riders of the 2000s? Just because he neutralized a stage when the shlecks went down?

Cause it was hilarious, especially cause the day after when there was a crash but canc didn't care, kept racing with andy in his wheel.

Know what a hypocrite is?

This is pretty grim. Will they actually restart this? If they do, is it going to be a real race, or neutralized?

Edit: looks like they're rolling again

What the f**k is going on with these Skytards?

Why did you feel the need to portray anything there as 'evil Sky'? They neutralised the race, Sky were at the front and riding alongside the race directors car. Then the race director's car clearly pulled away and released them, so Sky (and everybody else) began racing again. Then they neutralised it again and everybody stopped.

What were Sky supposed to do before the second neutralisation, park up at the side of the road being all noble waiting for Cancellara and watch the rest of the race ride off into the sunset? I'm well aware of the protocol that you let the yellow jersey get back if he' sinvolved in a crash but frankly nobody seemed too bothered about doing it there. Singling one team out is just silly.

This is going to be a complete gang-f... when it gets started again, total joke. It's a hellacious end to the stage no matter how you dress it up and sadly the end of a few rider's Tour.

Neutralising the race because half the field crashwd and need medical attention. Feel free to use your brains people.

Get out of here at most 15 went down. This called the hyper-safety culture litigation and the tempora felice has bread. Before they raced without helmets and broke their skulls and nobody stopped the race.
Ah yes, the good old days when riders had their skulls smashed in on the regular.

These silly modern riders who have to be held back so that they can get necessary medical attention, ***.

Someone who says that they enjoy cycling but diss one of the most spectacular and stronger riders ever and call *** at the others, while rooting for one or 2 guys alone?

Hardly half the field. Feel free to use your eyes. The ambulance thingy is just horse**** for the sake of the big whiner.

Proudhomme should just let Canc ride in car for the rest of the race.

Which explains why they were stopped for 5 minutes after he caught up because?

You don't stop a race for this reason!

Rhub, there were two crashes, nearly 15% of the peleton was affected, and there were a number of very seriously injured with insufficient ambulances to deal with so many injured at the same time. This is no longer the 1930's, it was the right call.

For the people who are angry that they have to wait for ambulances - if a guy crashes hard and dies because it takes 20 minutes for an ambulance to show up, is that an acceptable casualty just so that the race can go on?
