Will Cav fail again?

One can only hope.

I'd like to see Greipel keep going and take this one, and a fourth on the Champs-Élysées.

Cav will go too early

Bold Prediction: He realizes he's been going too early and, shockingly, he goes too late.

Sagan will get 2nd

Natch.

Some Dutch guy will crash

Gonna say it's Kruijswijk's turn, mostly because I like him and that's how things go.

Zubeldia won't be seen

Who?

Froome will almost crash

Twice

Something will happen that makes Contador go nuts while nothing really happened

As a prank, Sagan tells Alberto that he put vaseline on Alberto's handlebars, and Alberto spends the first 10km riding hands free and asking if anyone has any paper towels, while everyone around him muffles their laughter.

Voeckler will get the most screen time at the back of the peloton

Michael Matthews is giving him a run for his money on air time.

See bold.

Luckily tomorrow there is men's Semi's at Wimbledon and Ashes cricket, I shall turn on for the final few k's of this one.
There is no possibility to watch wimbledon in austria, if you don't have sky, so I have to watch this flat piece of boredom :(

Cheer up. Go on a bike ride! When it's a boring stage I either ride or play soccer (football) with some mates. :)

Can't help but chuckle a bit at people complaining over a boring stage. They way I remember the TdF first week as a kid is basically mass sprints with an inevitable Cipo/Zabel/McEwen win at the end. Nowadays you get these classic-like stages, stages designed with echelons in mind and uphill murito-style finishes. Makes the sprinters have to work harder for their wins which is fine in my book. HTC-style just isn't being done nowadays and that adds unpredictability.

Still, I'll just follow live updates on CN and tune in for the final 15k. Unless something interesting comes up...Today was enough slow-riding for me.

I'm not sure if Matthews will start today. He said he's feeling worse, not better and only stuck out yesterday's stage out of respect for the ANZAC memorial in the Somme.

I was impressed that Kristoff managed to be in the front group up the final climb today, shows he is in great shape. On stage 5 he opened his sprint way too early, but still sprinted strong. The slight uphill finish tomorrow will suit him well. I predict Kristoff to win.

I agree, particularly that his performance in Stage 5 was a lot better than it might have appeared. His form might be a little better than many people seem to think.

Hehe, thanks for asking. :)
I don't want to give too much of my winnings back to the bookies so I've restricted myself to $50 per stage for the rest of the race. For this one I'm on Kristoff.

well, maybe some of the predictions will be wrong, but thanks for the laugh :D

Actually I think that is pretty close. Would love to see Zubeldia in a breakaway ! As for Voeckler he must be the only rider who tries to break from the peloton when they are already going fast, get's a couple of hundred metres ahead and keeps looking back with 20 kms to go hoping he can stay ahead, like a track sprinter. He tries to overcome the impossible with facial expressions while weaving all over the road.

You also forgot to say that someone will wave a flag into the leading rider's face within the last 3 kms, the cameras will be showing the beaches of Normandy while someone has attacked and why show one view of a chateau, church, cemetery when you can show five ?

Re: 2015 Tour de France Stage 7: Livarot - Fougeres, 190.5 k

Kristoff FTW!
Maybe the GC guys will decide to stay at a safer distance.A few seconds as good as they are not worth the risk of going home early.

Kristoff isn't in that bad of form as people think he is.

He was caught up in a crash on the earlier two stages. He got a puncture on stage 4. He lost his 2 leadout men in a crash and only had Rodriguez on stage 5.

If Kristoff has a lead out tonight he wins.
