Any chance we can get a decent break for a change?
I think so, GC teams will want to save energy for the TTT and sprinters don't have an interest today. Dan Martin has already lost time though and wants to try to win, but Talansky is still up in GC and they already lost a rider.

so many haters who are absolute losers in real life. disgusting even to read.

id like to see a positive signal from alberto, something like he did at the giro on stage won by oscar gatto. 'hey boys i'm here. be very afraid!' ;d

It's interesting.

The first time a small group got away that was brought back straight away. Each time a break has gone clear in the 6 road stages, the break has been allowed to go.

BotD established:

Chavanel and Huzarski in the lead

At km 6, Chavanel (IAM) and Huzarski (Bora) are in the lead, chased down by Sicard (Europcar) and Périchon (Bretagne-Séché) at 12 seconds, peloton at 50 seconds

So weak

Now they're away

Chavanel and Huzarski being chased by Sicard and Perichon who are 10 seconds behind. Peloton 1 and a half minutes back.

Suprised that Teklehhaimanot isn't there, if he picks up the 1 KOM point before the finish thebn Purito by winning the stage could not take it off him

So who is going to chase? BMC, Movistar, Katusha and Saxo will save themselves for tomorrow.

Perhaps Lotto for Gallopin or Garmin for Dan Martin?

Froome is more explosive than Evans? I'd like to see Froome win Fleche Wallone or the World as Evans did.

Man the july fans...
That's a strange argument. Not caring about an Ardennes race doesn't mean you aren't explosive?

Do you think Froome is incapable of winning the Giro just because he has never ridden it (err since his transformation of course)

I think he will be happy to just follow, he'll be careful not to blow himself up.

I wonder if Nibali will try to send a message today? I think I he was so angry the other day when he crashed because he wanted to deliver a message on that stage. I think he'll try to win today.

And possibly Katusha ... but not many candidates for the reason you stated.

If there's one thing we can always rely on it's Nibali winning through luck!

Some rather amusing off-topic conversation in this thread :)

As for the Froome being the best stage racer of all time proposal, are you mad? What has he ever done in the Tour Of California?

Wiggo is the only one to win the big two (at least officially)

Lotto will chase and are chasing. They will probably get help at some stage from FDJ for Pinot (although they will probably relax and target Tuesday), Lampre for Costa and Durasek, Cofidis for Simon. Maybe Giant think that Degenkolb may be a chance.

Lotto will get help, and those teams are most likely to chip in and help compared to other teams.

Expect Katusha to take a crack at the stage...

Saxo's Plan B is Sagan to do THE double.

Better than Sky's Plan B :D

Disappointing break. And Lotto chasing must mean Gallopin is feeling extremely well if they are also willing to give Sagan a tow to potentially points for green.
