Good race but I think the final 5-10kms of Stage 3 needed to be harder because this was little more than a tricky procession for Sky. no real attacks - or possibility of attacks - from Sanchez or Voeckler, sadly.

2 very good stages from this Tour and I think it's been a big success. Nice win for Nordhaug and Deignan did some great work for him.

Fantastic day on the Cote de Goose Eye. Huge crowds and one heck of a gradient. I hope they keep in in the route next year.

Friday's stage was good. Today's was a bit disappointing given the potential of the stage but still a decent watch compared to most. Stop trolling in every thread.

I would have:
stage 1: lumpy sprint stage
stage 2: a repeat of this year's stage 3
stage 3: a repeat of this year's stage 1
stage 4: as close to a MTF as you can get in the pennines.

Looked up a youtube video. Looks pretty good. I'd have a day of hills like that. Not Yorkshire but the climb to Harlech castle is the steepest paved road in Britain I think with sections of 40%.
