I think the wind stopped real attacks.

Though that makes Thomas more impressive, since he was on the front most of the time.

I just can't understand no one being willing to go out early and try to hit a home run to try and win. No one is getting 3 minutes otherwise on Froome.
I believe there was head wind which makes quite difficult for an attack to stick

Sorry my friend, talking Clinic stuff is talking Clinic stuff, whether it's affirmative or negative. Want to say laughable things, you know where the forum is.

That's fool's gold, Gerry, fool's gold.

Ugh, Thomas.

he rode SO strongly that Pinot is still there.

What do you mean? Pinot is where he belongs. Geraint not quite where expected.

But Thomas will excel in rain and if it's being raced so easily Pinot is still there it's a little less bizarre than it looks.

And yet none of the best climbers managed to launch a successful attack.

They were **** on the first day in the pyrenees and still are. Not that surprising

A classics specialists 10s of kgs heavier chasing down one of the best clumbers in the world after working all day?

Thomas wasn't on the front until soon before Quintana attacked and you don't know his current weight.

Just imagine the damage Paolini would be doing in the high mountains if he hadn't been sent home. The Pyrenees have nothing on Gent-Wevelgem.

Froome tried to ride away, couldn't do it. Is his shape dropping or is the rain?

Hmmm, if movistar and tinkoff still want to win this, it's maybe not over.
You really think if Froome wanted to he wouldn't win this stage by at least a minute? He's got a massive advantage so is just riding into Paris.

Thomas killed the stage as far as attacks goes by simply being too strong and refusing to go away and let the rest give Froome a proper work over. They tried a bit but I am sure they would have gone for it more if Thomas had been dropped. Froome probably would have been too strong but we will never know for sure.

Quintana can't drop Thomas? What the...?
Ask yourself why?????/

People expecting TJ to attack LOL. He does not have to at all.

What is the good point about Gerraint Thomas climbing with Pinot?? come on man. Pinot is a very good climber!!
He was probably sick last two days.

Ok G. was amazing, but those were not attacks. Those little digs won't trouble Froome ever, they could try them all the way to Paris.
