Aru with the time trial of his life.

The red jersey does give you the strength of ten men...

Purito doesn't agree
You can have all the strength you want; not going to help much on a TT if you hold your head up like a giraffe the whole way.

I think Aru just won the Vuelta. He surely will find these 3 seconds somewhere on 1 mountain and 2 hilly stages.

Aruuuuu

Only 3 seconds difference.

Aru to win the Vuelta. In miburos logic this is ridiculous. Aru suddenly a TT rider!

He is not a TT rider by any means. He targeted this race and didn't ride the Tour. That makes all the difference.
He did look decent on the bike but TT will never be his strenght

You don't have to explain it to me. I didnt even expect Tom to get red today vs Aru.

TD incredible, but that last section from Aru was amazing! Great to finally get a close GC battle in a GT this year.

But dumoulin best on small steep hills? He'll drop Aru on both, and probably on the mountain stage too for good measure

This is like Sagan vs Alaphilippe in the USA!
Except it's the opposite scenario! However Dumoulin winning the Vuelta is a MUCH bigger surprise than Sagan winning ToC

Dumoulin would win if he had a team. In these conditions holding off Astana is impossible.

There will be no need for a 'holding off', nobody will seriously attack him.
