Gastrointestinal problems. Wasn't that the problems he had in 2014 too?

Kwiatkowski's poor performance was also caused by this (and supposedly several other riders were affected).

It's a pity that De Gendt already let the peloton go early on yesterday so the peloton would let him ride, while his breakaway companions didn't think of that so the peloton chases quite hard.

Should today's finish be called Petit Finhaut-Emosson?

To me, it looks like Movi has taken a leaf or two from Sky's book, so should be interesting to see who'll have the stronger train.
Normally, no one should be able to match Sky, but as I've mentioned, Movi's starting to resemble Sky, and Quintana's diesel could find the strong train useful.

Sky team is too weak here for a proper train.Only Thomas and Nieve might no be enough if Froome is in trouble.

Movistar always had train-like strength mountain domestique's, independently on Sky. Astana too.

Yes, apparently he crashed in the beginning of the stage, so let's hope he didn't break anything so that he can concentrate on his next goal (Switzerland).

FFS It wasn't sky that started the mountain train tactic. So many teams have done it before like US Postal Astana Saxobank. Cycling hasn't changed much since sky joined. Not as if they are some great innovators in Cycling strategy

Yes, but they haven't been able to line it up properly, yet. Sky's had the upper hand most of the time, so far.
With their latest tt improvements I see they've learned how to sort out the power output data, so the methodology is what I'm talking about, not the train(s) by itself.
Katusha's leaders should have a say, but the team as a whole - I doubt.

Should be interesting. The slope is fairly shallow, Sky might be able to line up the train despite being weakened.
