I'm amazed they haven't decided to just turn off the GPS yet. Much better to time all the gaps manually - they have folks on motorbikes for that.

Anyway, if Kruijswijk isn't hurt, it looks like he'll take a very serious blow but still remain in contention. Saved by Etixx.

SK didn't go that slow. It was Clarke who was probably in the slipstream of the car that passed SK shortly after Clarke did.

SK is not a bad descender. He just made a mistake on that curve. It can be hard to estimate distance with snow walls left and right.
His bike change should have been faster so he could connect with the Valverde group. That is a pity he didn't ;-) , but I think nothing is lost.

Jungels not pulling to save energy for the climb, makes sense, at least he's getting his teammate to help a bit.

Just got back - Kruijswijk crash, Zakarin crash, Nibali + Chaves 1 min 30 ahead of SK. Anything else I've missed?

Orica blew the race apart on Agnello which kicked it off. Peloton went from 100+ riders down to about 7 in 500 metres.

Thanks :)

Why would they do it when dodgy GPS lets commentators routinely make mountains out of molehills =)

I'm really sorry for all dutch cycling fans. First Dumoulin in the Vuelta and now Kruijswijk in the Giro. Ofc it isnt over yet but at least its safe to say that if he hadnt crashed its extremely likely he would have won.

Yes, he should lose more time. But there's still tomorrow, if he's not hurt.
