Lampre twitter suggests there's an investigation going on...
There is, and RAI commentators have also been discussing it about since the finish, mostly arguing in favor of the DQ

Those left on the road
Landa
Dumoulin
Kittel
Greipel
Zakarin
Lars Bak
And 38 others: not sure why you have listed these.

Exactly, and this is a bit disrespectful for Zakarin to put Kittel and Grepeil's withdrawals on the same level...

Nizzolo lost control and went left a few feet - about as dangerous as it gets. Modolo did really well to stay up
Yeah, but it's hard to say if it was intentional, if you sprint on wet urban cobbles you can loose control of your bike, it's a tough call.

If he get's relegated he loses the red jersey as well ain't he!?

Might be the reason why there ain't be no action taken. Tells enough about him tough, that he finally manages to win a stage like this.

Greipel & Kittel were the most glearing for their absence today
-- that was my thinking.

OK, got it. It is true that the sprinter field was absoluty abysmal in the last week.

I agree, not intentional, but does that matter if it's dangerous ? Was Zakarin vs Quintana deliberate ?

It was such a farce that they robbed Ilnur of his stage win.

I think that the Zakarin/Quintana relegation was a bit harsh, but race official have a history of being inconsistent when it comes to relegations, sometimes you can get away with a certain move and sometimes the officiaals will relegate you.

Nah, he has around 100-150 other children he didn't bring, plus another 50-100 he doesn't even know about.
