I don't get this Dylan Thomas hype. GC is going to be decided in the penultimate stage, isn't it? Or does someone think that prologue will make more than seconds differencies? In flat stages anything can happen...to Dylan, to Midget, to Bertie....so:

1. AC
2. II
3. RM
The penultimate stage finishes on a climb with very low gradients, the last stage probably worries Thomas more than the penultimate stage.
By the way, who is RM?

RM is Majka, I imagine.
Dylan Thomas top 10 poets easily

Despite weaker field than expected, there's enough people in the race to make it exciting.
I'll pay attention on Lulu, he'll want to make up what he missed in Catalunya.

I do not get this survey at the beginning. Again without Spilak :)

Guys, he will be one of the first three...

I hadn't realised that that going halfway up the Ventoux would actually be so early in the stage. Would've been awesome at 50km out or something

What about Dani Diaz and Delio Fernandez? :D
Apparently Greg Henderson pulled out of the race two days ago, is he "Sick"?

You never know with him. He's got a shot. I considered him and a few others but there are only 9 options.

Wow, this is probably the first time that I'm hyped for Paris-Nice and not for Tirreno-Adriatico, that feels pretty strangge, but I blame it on the (for T-A standards) boring route, Paris-Nice on the other hand has an interesting route and a great field.

I think Katusha is riding for Spilak. Inur will get his chance in the Giro.

The Porte vs. Thomas duel is going to be fun to watch. The rest of the favorites better cling to Thomas wheel on the dirt roads.

Hopefully Contador is at his best. He should win stage 3. =D

But there is more competitors in Tirreno-Adriatico. Shouldn't we a thread about that race as well? :D

I'm going to go for Contador even the parcours is not best for him and although I don't know exactly which his form is. I think Pais Vasco is his biggest goal for this season opening.

I think Spilak won't win the race because he started racing late this year and he's aiming to be competitive in the olympics so he'll reach his peak later in the season.

But the bold part is incorrect. In fact it's quite the opposite. You always know what you get from him. He is the most consistent rider in short stage races over the last few years. Always fighting for the podium. Some guy on another forum summed up all PCS points for top10 results in WT one week races for every rider in the last 5 years. Špilak comes out on top, with Porte second and Rui Costa third with very little difference between them.

So it really is pretty strange not to put his name in a poll. It only shows once again how underrated he still is even after winning Tour de Suisse last year.

I repeat I don't think he'll fight for the win here. In my opinion it's between Contador, Thomas, Dumoulin and Porte.

One stage makes too much for race, quiet liked the year they decided to make it no stand out stage although plenty moaned about that.

For me SPilak looks a lively outsider

WTF is this poll about...are these fan of Contador voting?

Madone is perfect for grinders like G, Dumoulin and others. No way Contador wins this race imho ( and if he does, it will be at least verrrry close )

I think you're the first to mention Dumoulin. I mean he isn't the favorite, but he most definitely has a chance. He was climbing well on Green Mountain and I'd imagine he's going to be a tad better.

Top 10:
1. AC
2. G Thomas
3. Dumoulin
4. Porte
5. Spilak
6. LL Sanchez
7. Bardet
8. Gallopin
9. Izagirre
10. Costa

There are other stages where time can be gained, you know.

According to the startlist the last rider off is Zakarin at 14.18. However, the tv schedule shows Paris-Nice from 14.15-16.30?

Yeah I agree. They'll be done with the podiums by 15:00 :p

Edit: Sporza is live from 13:30 according to the schedule, Eurosport Benelux only has cycling scheduled from 16:30 to 18:00

Madone has about the same gradient as Montagne de Lure. If Contador is great, he'll go on a tear anyway
