Last year before the tdf stage to zelande we had discussions if echelons will be possible because the weather forecast wasnt that bad, so nothing is sure before the race starts.
What interests me is how much rain has to fall to make the gravel roads, muddy roads, because I have absolutely no idea about that. Maybe a little bit of rain will be enough to cause carnage, but maybe it has to rain buckets or it will get hardly more difficult. I just don't know.

I guess small amounts of rain will only have the effect of settling the ground and preventing dust from flying around, like what can happen in Roubaix. The racing conditions might actually be better with slight rain than dry weather.

Jep, and Cancellara has a good chance of winning the race, so nobody will call for a neutralisation. :D

I remember him in the cobble stage of the Tour 2014. That didn't look so good.

Rain in Roubaix please. :D

Nibs will turn into the mighty mud shark, attack from 50k out and will be caught just before the final short climb by a group consisting of Valverde, Sagan, Stibar and Kwia. Bala drops them all and wins.

It's interesting to see that Cancellara is the favorite with the poll. I'd like to see him win. He's gonna need to get to the last wall alone.

With bad weather and given that he seems to be in a decent shape so far, Nibali could well contend for the win.

Looking forward to see where Cancellara's at as well. :)

Well... I just hope Eurosport doesn't pull their ridiculous we can't show it, coz then we'll be late to show Bundesliga stunt as they did last year.

It's interesting most of all, because since they added a bit more climbing to Strade Bianche he has never been able to really shine in this race.

Then just have Boom, Nibali and Fugslang on the same team. Complete domination :D

Cancellara would need to explote the race from far to have one option with this final and this kind of rivals. But of course I will like to see him destroying the race

Showers predicted for tommorow.
This race has to go to somebody who knows how to ride on dirty wet roads.
Stybar is my favourite.. and second place will go to Sagan, obviously.

I think is easy to see the rain, but just at the end, and I think we dont see moody roads.

http://www.foreca.es/Italy/Siena

I think is even no time to people as Nibali, who perform better than others in the rain, to note the efect.

Anyway I dont know the finish time, not the same 16:00 than 17:00.

Rain or Sun, it will be a great race in any case. Still think GVA is the key man, but I hope to see Nibali and Kwia in the mix with aggressive racing from a distance.
