Sure, I was just running with bajbar's hypothetical scenario.DFA123 said:He hasn't got a broken collarbone. He was dancing on the pedals immediately after crashing, putting a fair bit of weight on it. The worst he'll have from that is some kind of hip contusion - which could disrupt his sleeping and be painful at the start of the ride. But after about an hour or two riding, it will loosen up and he'll hardly feel it.CheckMyPecs said:If Hamilton can ride the Tour (and a Giro) with a broken collarbone, Contador can too. The man's as tough as nails.bajbar said:FFS... I am so pissed right now. But it could be much worse. It could be a broken collarbone and au revoir Tour...
Should be fine by the mountains.
What makes you think we want to ban taxus? Please report any infraction, otherwise don't clog this thread up with this.portugal11 said:Where are mods to ban taxus?

Same here, I came back to wonder if it was over before it began.Miburo said:sir fly said:Hit the ground from a healthy angle.Miburo said:How the hell didn't he get anything broken there? Thank the lord.

Proudhomme thinks it's great. The best thing about the prologue is that it stabilizes the race. Prudhomme ditches the traditional prologue and we got more early crashes.
Agreed. Contador's hip might be the biggest issue. He'll lose some time tomorrow in the finish, but he should be good in a few days (assuming no further crashes).
Trying to make some lemonade here with these lemons.
I sorry you've missed. It was an important moment. Hit the tarmac on a roundabout exit, might be the road furniture he caught. Someone's wheel could have been worse. You'll find the video somewhere soon, I'm sure. ES has already showed it again.Miburo said:sir fly said:Hit the ground from a healthy angle.Miburo said:How the hell didn't he get anything broken there? Thank the lord.

When you fall that fast the chances of broken bones are sometimes less likely to break bones than if you fall from an almost stationary position, you skid a bit, and while I don't know the physics behind it gravity seems a bit more forgiving, hopefully he is alright
