French commentators are not freaking out so I would say that they don't !
Edit : he just said that it was far from their route.
Edit 2 : Jalabert saying it's closer than expected. Anyway it should be fine ^^

Anyone knows if they're heading towards that forest?
I don't think so, but Kirby's dramatising the situation, so where there's the smoke there might be fire.

I think it would greatly enhance the competition if Froome lost 2 minutes, hope it happens

Yep, unlike Quintana, Froome would have the b@lls to attack on profiles like this

He'd have the balls to attack; but they'd be like Contador's hail mary efforts that he always does when he's behind on GC - and which have worked once in his whole career - and that was only because Purito is so tactically inept. With a two minute advantage, Quintana would win the GC without breaking sweat.

How come no more french teams use this to get their TV time and Voeckler prize (the one for most spectacular loser - combativity)?

Was in Carcassonne this morning for non-cycling reasons, & had to leave before the actual cyclists came through. Dear God is the caravan depressing. The number of people who watch just for that is extraordinary and also depressing. (Also Carcassonne itself, but that's another story.)

Oh, and you couldn't see the fire from Carcassonne. I really really don't think it's a big deal.

Sprinters' teams shouldn't take over before final 50 - 60 kilometres.
By then, GC teams may let the gap grow till the point of a real pursuit.
But, as I can see, there won't be tired legs in the bunch. Depends on wind.

why is nothing happening?

Because the Tour is a boring passive race where every day the riders promise they will do something the next day. And the two most exciting GC riders are not here to win (Contador abandoned and Nibali is training for Rio).

Wind in pick up.
if there a gap appears in final 20 kilometres, could become interesting.

The guys in the car are a bunch of chickens, we need a guy with a Trump-like arrogance somewhere back in one of these cars.

Where is Oleg? He is almost as bad, though Trump is a category of his own :(
