On a sidenote, why was Kirby going on about Aru needing to be investigated by the comissaires?

Aru had some sticky bottles over the course of his 3 (at least?) bike changes.

Porte is jinxed. Even when he is making time he loses.

Can't believe Porte's bad luck. He is obviously in great form I just hope he can hold his head up now the organisers have, lucky for him, adjusted the finishing times. Big question is how hurt he is physically and mentally - the TT is tomorrow.

Can anyone who knows it tell me if it's forbidden to run without a bike?

I can't find it in the UCI rulebook just to be absolutely clear on this issue. I wonder if someone else can.
This is what I found:
1.2.108 Unless otherwise stated, each rider shall, in order to be classified, complete the race entirely through his own effort, without the assistance of any other person.
1.2.109 The rider may cross the finish line on foot, provided that has his bicycle with him.

He ran on his own. He's okay !

Check his legs for motors! The scum!

You won't get me a second time !

WOW !!

Thanks for posting.

FOUR FKN MOTOS !!!!!

Fans didn't help ...

... but that's 99% the motorbikes fault. Again. Wowza.

Keep in mind that they crashed next to a man with a French flag, who should be on the left hand side of this picture. I can't see him here, although it may actually be the guy at the very top middle of the photo.

There is argument that the motos make this worse, if you crash into a fan your more likely to lose less time than if you crash into a moto or get hit by one or both in the case of Froome's bike.

Froome keeps the yellow! Well that's it, I'm not watching this **** anymore. They are in Sky's pocket. They want to make Froome the winner no matter what. I'm not going to waste any more of my time with this ****.

lololololol! Get a grip......

"lololololol!" What are you, ten?

Not the place to ask intimate questions.

I've been thinking for years there were too many motos on the road. Now we see the outcome. The crowds and will always happen. But allowing so many motos into these tight spaces intermingled with spectators and riders is something ASO can do something about. So a few less TV cameras - tough, safety must always come before TV contracts.

Quintana and Van Garderen lost time because of that crash and that's why they have the same time as chasing group now. It's 7 seconds so not much anyway.

If he was held up, Quintana is within his rights to ask for the 7 secs back. But I still think it was his legs that did him in. It really looked like he needed the wheel of Valverde on the finishing stretch.

There's another side to this story as well: Did you see the gap the spectators left today? Without a motor, there barely would've been space for a single line of riders, let alone space to place an attack. (By the way, three of the four motorbikes in front of the lead GC group were photographers.)

being ten and on this message board would be cause to seriously re-evaluate my life, being 50 and on this message board is a mere confirmation of what a waste it's all been.

TV footage shows he was held up, yes, but not that he arrived at the pile up at the same time as the rest of the group. He was already lagging behind the group prior to that moment and I didn't see him get back with the group before the held-up.

Since when "a mechanical" is one of your motorbikes crashes into the contenders. Bloody hell, they sure are a proud lot!
