Never understood why you have to stop when the leader has an mechanical. What about the rest of the top ten riders? Nobody waited for Aru. It's a bike race. Flat tyres and crashes is a part of the game.

Apparently some people believe if a rider has the yellow jersey he is entitled to be babysat through to the end of the race. There could be 20 riders within 20 seconds but they have to deal with all punctures and mechanicals themselves.
Their narrative falls apart a little when its an earlier stage and a sprinter/tter has the yellow jersey and suffers a puncture. They don't demand everyone wait for that yellow jersey.

Its all about the last 5kms in every stage and in every race. I say we scrap all these and just have 5K races, one up the hill, one down the hill, one around the hill, one pedaling with one foot, one where you give urself a wedgie and so on. atleast it may be more exciting. Jeez.
