Cavendish and Sagan winning, Contador loosing time or worse... nightmarish.

Allaphillipe is an animal!
I find it funny how he always punches his handlebar each time he doesn't win these sort of finishes. He was never even close to Sagan - no reason to be so disappointed about himself there (if that's what it is about)

40 some-odd seconds for a stage win.

Someone else would have lit it up and driven the pace. If Contador couldn't follow that it would have made little difference if he had Kreuziger back with him too. Might have saved him 10s or something

Kruezinger blasting up the climb while Contador was getting dropped. New Saxo leader?

Lol, commentators so bad they thought time gap was 1 minute until he got caught

I thought so too. The tv never indicated at all where Cavendish is, until just moments before Stuyvens was caught.

Dunno what your'e watching, but Cavendish was clearly dropped a while before. Furthermore, why on earth would you believe that the time suddenly went up significantly to the speeding peleton up hill?

Yeah, I guess. I was watching in sporza though, and I don't really understand the language. ;)

Maybe it was more obvious than it appeared to me. Still, the graphics were confusing though, they could have showed the gap to the peloton more cleary.

He was just leading Peter... Contador would have lost time regardless.

An entertaining finish. In the end it seems that it was essentially one for the Ardennes boys (Fleche podium finishers came 2nd to 4th), but just easy enough for one freakish sprinter to challenge them.

Alaphilippe comfortably outsprinting Valverde. Has the baton passed?

One has done the classics and the Giro, the other has not.
It's unbelievable that Valverde managed a top 3.
Sure, I'm not having a go at Valverde, but Alaphilippe's sprinting is on a different level now I think. Stage wasn't hard enough for Bala - Sagan was still too fresh.

Don't think so just yet. While Valverde's sprinting is considerably worse than it was 10 years ago, he still consistently beats Alaphilippe in flat finishes

Now's the time for Alberto to either abandon and go to the Vuelta instead, or say in an interview that he wants his whole team to support Peter 100%
He doesn't need to say anything in interview, the team rightly supported Sagan today. No conflicts inside Tinkoff I believe.

Sagan _O_

If only Stuyven had one other decent rider with him...

The time split at the top of the screen killed me! Showed one minute split...I was like, Stuyven got this..then the peloton is 5 seconds back in the video!

These frogs need to get their cloacas together. Or something.

It's the first week of a grand tour. This is the time for unreasonable doom-saying and brash, ill-considered opinions.

If not Kreuziger there would be other teams blasting it up. If Contador can't even follow his teammates you can't do much.
