Froome was the best, most exciting, most positive GC rider in this tour. Most of others are garbage wheelsukers. How can someone be a Quintana fan? Blhec.

+oo

No GC attack today? Seriously?
Pathetic rest of the field.

Froome well deserved, the guy came here with a reason and executed.

proves once and for all how overrated nibali's descending is as I've been calling here for years

A lot of the things you've been saying for years have been proven wrong, and it doesn't exactly look like he's trying at all. Plus Olympics
nibali definitely tried today but he couldn't follow descenders with real skills and more dare

Yeah, because he's really going to risk a crash here with the Olympics looming.
wanna speak again?

Reckon Pantano and Izaguirre would have dropped Nibs on the descent in Lombardia?
I'm sure Nibs has lost all descending ability in the space of 6 months..

It's been the worst Tour since the Wiggins Tour, and the second worst since some of the Armstrong ones. Let's hope for better times soon.
the 2012 Tour was miles better than this one. Miles.

So Kreuziger going in top 10? Anyone who has done the calculations?

I think he, Martin, Purito and Meintjies are all within 10 seconds of each other

Uhm, what happened confirmed what I said. Why would Nibali risk crashing in a descent for a mere Tour stage? Olympics is his big goal and he has a family and kids. He clearly didn't push it.

Only way to stop Sky tactics is to reduce teams to 6 or 7 riders

Or other teams to follow the model (which I would not like to see), or some kind of budget cap. Smaller teams would be better though, yes.

worst tour in years

I seldom saw such little GC battling. Even among the podium and the top 10 there was barely any fight. Most place wins were either made by falls (Mollema), bad luck (porte), a hunger knock (aru) or an explosion (Van Garderen).

What a fail Tour. Absolute 0/10 for me

Actually, Nibali tried to do something in many stages in 2012 Tour. We had exactly zero GC aggression in this Tour apart from Bardet.

Huh?
The sprints were interesting this year, the GC action for the podium wasn't over until the end, some memorable moments. What did 2012 have apart from a brief moment where Froome attacked Wiggins?

I had much higher hopes for Porte storming the podium. :(
After what happened yesterday he was afraid of losing his 5th place.
I don't blame him since this is the first GT in which he is really consistent (Not counting his first Giro where he gained time in a breakway).

I wouldn't bother arguing with him, it's a lose cause.

Nibali clearly didn't want to risk it given the Olympics, just look at what happened to Dumoulin...
