That's a nonissue, riders can stop at the side of the road

But Orica's riders up front are probably cooked now after doing all that work.

So Orica has two riders inside the top 10 and none of them are able to complete with the top 3 riders on gc and they should just let them both ride along to a nice but unremarkable 4th and 7th place?

I like it. Better to sacrifice someone finishing low down in the top 10, in order to give yourself a better shot at the podium.


Yates has been stronger than Chaves all week. This is just throwing good money after bad.
Well, if Yates is so strong, then he should gain time himself - following team mates, he should be able to take time on the Aubisque. He's got nearly a minute advantage already.

Teams value WT points. Look at Dimension Data. They might be denied a WT license next year because of how few points they have, a situation caused by them valuing stage wins over boring top 10s.
