He's certainly been staying out of the wind to save energy. Hate the way he's ridden this race.

He did beat Boonen in the sprint here a few years ago. That said, Boonen has rarely been strong in this race so I don't know how much that says. Vanmarcke is so strong, but has no tactical sense whatsoever.

He's certainly not at the level of Sagan and GVA. Boonen typically isn't strong here.
