I wonder why Gilbert didn't mark GVA but kept stuck to Sagan like a glue. Does QS think GVA isn't a threat?

GVA not convincing...
This looks more like a final training effort before RVV than a genuine attempt to close the gap.

I posted my message when he wasn't able to follow the 2 Steppers, not when he's trying now to bridge the gap

I know - but I think his attempt to bridge is also unconvincing.

Sagan is completely gone, looks like it might be another lost spring season for him.

Ofc Sagan is cooked, he's done so much work already and he always has a couple Qs riders on his wheel. He's no Cancellara.

I am pretty sure that GVA wouldn't have a chance closing in on terpstra and lampeart alone, so quickstep just letting him burn his energy.

Sagan overrated
He killed himself with that unnecessary big effort trying to bridge. At a time when he had an ally in Benoot, who was working well with him to bring down the gap.

I'm struggling to think of another rider who so consistently makes bad tactical decisions.
