I don't understand the posts here. The teams not in the break are working for themselves. It's not about strictly working against Valverde. They have no chance if the gap to the break is as big as it was.

Alaphillipe has been sitting on Valverde's wheel for the entire race. Lol.
He's been doing it for many races in the last 3 years. Past the finish line, I mean

Look at how much smaller the peloton is than in recent years. I think this will be fun.

Lotto not even trying it once before the final climb is embarassing. Wellens has no chance in an uphill sprint and they wasted Benoot chasing Nibali.

Yep, it's unbelievably myopic. Calling Wellens or Kwiatkowski pathetic for not attacking when an 8 man break is 45 seconds up the road.

weird to see other teams than Movistar chasing .... I understand bringing Peter Sagan to the finish line is not much appreciated outside of team Bora, fair enough ... but piloting Valverde to the Mur is way more stupid than that ...

You know what would be funny? If the front group stays away, and out of the peloton the first three riders are Wellens, Slagter and Henao. :D

Then maybe you shouldn´t let the break obviously brilliant break just ride off into the distance.
