Alone, against a searing headwind, losing three minutes which is a lot, but considering the circumstances was very impressive

And he was 9th in the Monte Grappa time trial in 2014. The first time I took notice of him.

He won against Laurent Didier ffs.
I'm not saying he doesn't have a chance, but 20+ minute climbs just aren't his "thing". Wellens said that multiple times.
