For all the bad TTs Sosa has put in, he is actually looking quite decent on the flat right now.

Ooh, I think Hatsuyama will also OTL.

Time limit is 16:47.

900 meters left and he has 3min 47seconds left. Should make it.

It gets a little flatter in the end, that could save him.

Okay, he makes it quite handily.

I retract my statement. That was horrible.

Loses almost 2 minutes.

Still bad for a climber on this route.

Edit, didn't see the retraction

Roglic looking crazy strong and when did Superman become a TT-er? :) Yates has it all to do. (Tommy D looks really skinny)
Looking at the webcams in Bologna they'll miss the rain it seems.

Is there any benefit to Roglic keeping hold of the Maliga Rosa? All the post-race time wasted as leader probably didn't help Yates last year

I'm not even sure he'll get a decent chance to give it away.

First time as a captain in a GT and he gets the jersey straight away. I think he'll be eager to keep it.

Bit of a weird question:
I assume the riders are eating dinner individually - for maximum recovery - and that makes me wonder; could Roglic actually eat dinner at the Hot Seat?

He has already said if he got it on stage 1 they would fight to keep it! But hey when you have the legs use them. But he may need to learn energy management. Maybe Yates will save him from himself.

He can certainly reheat it.

Jeremy Whittle on Twitter. Bizarre...

"Be a shame if it rained and cost Yates significant time, over a mere 8k TT in a three and a half thousand kilometre Grand Tour. Organisers bend over backwards to create a cliffhanger finale yet are quite happy for the weather to skew things. Don't really understand."

The organizers are supposed to control the weather? SMH
