Not sure he went down, maybe only delayed by the crash. Anyway, since the beginning of this Giro the question about when and how the voodoo will strike again are more exciting than the race itself.

According to Rai also Landa and Zakarin crashed, mattanza

This sort of level of voodoo will probably end up making this race as boring as the 2014 TDF

San Giovanni Rotondo was founded in 1095 on the ruins of a pre-existing village of the 4th century BC; of this village some visible signs remain, like some tombs and a circular baptistery (the epithet "Rotondo" derives from this)

"Rotondo" in Italian means "circular".

To say "roundabout" we usually say "rotonda" or "rondò".

However...they don't arrive in a roundabout
The place is called "San Giovanni Rotondo", that translated is "Saint John circular" lol beacuse
in that place there was a circular Baptistery dedicated to Saint John.
