They have no climbers able to make a solid pace in the mountains, so they're counting on the flat part to control.Broccolidwarf said:DQ not letting this sail away.
I say Alaphilippe thinks he can win this stage.

Don't think EF has enough matches to burn. Van Garderen is out, Woods has crashed twice, Langeveld and Scully won't drop anyone uphill.Salvarani said:Hope Movistar/Astana/EF makes the climbs hard today. Dont let Ineos control and neutralize any attacks.

That would be crazy if they could be alternating, taking it easy and then go fast on stages riding as each other![]()
It would show up in dna/blood test Im sure though
not sure of specific rule but that surely would be a DSQtobydawq said:Salvarani said:tobydawq said:What is the punishment if two riders by mistake ride with each other's numbers?

If they are identical twins (which I seem to recall that they aren't), wouldn't they have the same DNA?
But it was more a question along the lines of what would happen if Adam actually was the one in the break and after the stage they said that they had swapped numbers by mistake. Would the punishment outweigh the benefit?
I'm pretty sure it would.

No I don't think so. But Stangelj said it was just about survival today and no chance of him doing somethingRed Rick said:Enough to abandon?Dekker_Tifosi said:Nibali is ill with stomach problems.Gigs_98 said:Kinda hoped Nibali would try to get into the break. The stage would have suited him :/

That would be a solid explanation.Broccolidwarf said:Wvv said:Damn, Nico Roche is fluent in French. Yes, I know he has ridden in French teams, but it's striking how fast he talks and how minimized his accent is.
I seem to remember he grew up in France, from a previous years broadcast![]()
So you're saying the real conspiracy is that the Yates twins are actually clones?tobydawq said:Salvarani said:tobydawq said:What is the punishment if two riders by mistake ride with each other's numbers?

I'm on board, who's starting the clinic thread?
There's a theory that there are actually eighteen of them.Pirazziattacks said:So you're saying the real conspiracy is that the Yates twins are actually clones?tobydawq said:If they are identical twins (which I seem to recall that they aren't), wouldn't they have the same DNA?

The possibility of "twin-doping" has been raised before actually.
It's a funny idea but impractical und outlandish for a number of reasons imo.

Don't get me wrong, I still think the break will take this. Especially as the best climbers in there have done hardly any work. But just over 4 minutes going into two 1st category climbs isn't a done deal, which I expected it to be at this point.Flamin said:Gigs_98 said:This might not be a day for the break after all. Who's going to pull it back then?
It would be so hilarious though. Let us dreamspalco said:Pirazziattacks said:So you're saying the real conspiracy is that the Yates twins are actually clones?
