Is Rohan Dennis sick or injured ...becasue otherwise it is make no sense

However hasnt looked as happy at Bahrain as at BMC

Sick according to the ITV4 commentary along with much of the Bahrain Merida squad including Nibali

Sounds like food poisoning
Not the happiest rest day they've had.

Lol that Bora-soigneur, really wanted to give his rider a bidon but brought GVA and eventually himself in danger. Ended with a nasty fall on his back. Actually the Bora-rider's fault tho, you have to get closer to your team soigneur.

Keeping their powder dry so they are in peak shape to lose a bunch of time to Geriant Thomas tomorrow

Not able to watch yet. Is anything happening in the break on Peyresourde?

It's splitting up a bit, Sagan and a couple other have fallen back, Clamejane attacked the break solo.

Coibrelli went before the climb, got caught by Calmejane and the Frenchman didn't wait too long to go solo.
He has +30" now on the rest of the group, where riders are dropping one by one.
Pure sprinters are gone, now guys like Stuyven and Colbrelli too.
Sagan was one of the first to let go.

Peyresourde (1° Cat):

1. Wellens 10 pnt
2. Calmejane 8 pnt
3. Pauwels 6 pnt
4. Benoot 4 pnt
5. Clarke 2 pnt
6. Frank 1 pnt

Calmejane caught in the final meters. Sagan back in the peloton already.
Clarke went solo in the descent.

Rolf Aldag reportedly selected Cav for the Tour, but his selection was overruled by team owners/managers.

Yup, its hilarious how *** that decision was. I can sorta understand leaving Cav at home since you prob would have better chances winning with Nizzolo, but picking Cummings, then leaving Cav.....
If you want to see what Cav would have been in this Tour then see Greipel. Only worse

What exactly are AG2R's tactics today???

They've got 4 riders in the breakaway as a possible Relais-station for Bardet. But he probably won't be allowed to break free and might've been wise to lose some time in Mondays crosswinds to get some space. Fights for 6th spot now as it stands.

They've got 3 riders to work for Frank as well, who on paper might be the groups best climber on paper. Instead they're just coasting around so far.

"Our priority is the welfare of all our riders so will launch an immediate investigation but will not be commenting further until we have established what has happened to @RohanDennis.

Meantime we continue to support our riders who are mid-race."

It sounds like something really, really bad has happened  Assuming that this is not how teams usually writes about an abandon

I honestly don't think that Cavendish would have made it up LPDBF. Cummings has won with a solo break, at least.

Almost a minute for Clarke.
50 km to go, 7 km until the next climb.
Peloton at 6'30".

It seems like he has fled the race for some reason.

But someone must know something since they knew of the DNF.

Maybe just something slightly embarrassing, like a sudden attack of diarrea or so.

I don't think it's necessarily concerning.
