De Marchi out? Terrible news.
I'm more worried about his health than whether he continues. Never like seeing an unconscious rider.
He was conscious, I'm pretty sure. Looked bad nonetheless.

Looks like he is okay, suffering from deep face laceration.

That's a really strong break, a bunch of riders could win it really. Soler and Costa not so much, Soler should at least wait for Costa.

Looks like the KOM competition could get very interesting later on in the race.

Funniest scenario would be that KOM competition would be decided in Champs-Elyseés stage which has two 4th category climbs.

Watch Daryl Impey play this one ..all depends on how they ride the stage but Eddy Boss,Sicard, Benoot & Soler are good picks

Think you've forgotten Stuyven there.

For me Impey is the favourite for the stage here.

That must have been a really frustrating situation for Costa. First, Ineos think it's their job to decide who can break away and who can't so they spread out across the road, which meant that Costa had to wait an extremely long time until he could find physical space to break away.

Then he almost catches the break on the steep wall which of course does not have a descent so he has to give up...

Lotto Soudal's defending it nicely so far.
We'll see when some pure climbers jump into the mix.
the new jersey sponsor would surely like it to be decided at the Champs-Elyseés. It would mean it's a matter of point.

How could they stage such an uneventful day for the French holiday.

A good question; at least we can watch the Wimbledon final without missing out on much.

Watch Rui have a fit when his DS told him the others wont wait becasue he doesnt contribute to breakaways !!

UAE will be out for revenge

Re: 2019 Tour de France, stage 9: Saint-Étienne>Brioude 170,

Will the most exciting action on this stage be Flecha on the moto trying to interview every DS in the cars whilst trying not to fall off?
