Claude Criquielon had the very same feeling.

Roglic also seems to get a block of cheese ever day, wonder what he's doing with them.

(Picture above)

Judging by his face, he might be wondering that too. (Or rather, what he is going to do with it.)

Then again; Sindre Lunke found some good use for that salmon he won in Arctic Race last year; share it with his (new) teammates! Maybe Roglic will do the same.

Chapeau David Gaudu & Groupama-FDJ get two wins in a row! :)

The youngster's been looking good recently, but is down for TdF (to help Pinot I assume) instead of the Giro. Be interesting to see how he does on Saturday. Talking of which -

(info as per original route - might be changed because of the bad weather)
The 4th Stage Lucens to Torgon 176 km
start 12.30 CET TV from 16.00 CET

The Queen Stage in the Tour de Romandie takes in four intermediate climbs before a final haul up of 12 kilometres at 6%. The race from Lucens to Torgon amounts to 176 kilometres, while the altitude gain is almost 3,500 metres.

The first part of the race is the calm before the storm. Following a rolling section the first classified climb is crested in Sorens – at kilometre 43.4. It is a perfect way to stretch the legs before arguably the toughest ascent of the day appears after 72 kilometres. The Jaun Pass is 8 kilometres long and the average gradient sits at 8.3%.

The Jaun Pass opens the hard second half of the race, as the toughest climbs all come inside the last 100 kilometres. Up next is the Saanenmöser – 7.5 kilometres at 4.4% – and at kilometre 140 the riders reach the summit of the Cole des Mosses, which is a 13.7 kilometres climb at 4.1%. Not steep, yet a sheer endless toil. Especially since the climb is a likely springboard for GC contenders to slip away.

A long descent runs to the lowest point of the day, Aigle, located at an elevation of 384 metres. Following a short stint in the valley the riders tackle the final ascent to Torgon. The climb to the ski resort is 12 kilometres long and the average gradient sits at 6%.

After seeing today's finish, I have to notice these Romandie gradients look deceiving.
Climbing specialists looked like they were really digging deep on those 6 or so percents marked on the profile. Seemed more than that to me.
So, final 10k@6,5% could be more selective than expected by the profile.

Think generally short climbs and small bumps in profiles tend to look more or less deceiving than bigger climbs

That climb profile is the absolute worst you can get for action on a 10km at 6.5% climb

Yes, steep pitches on 1k climb make a bigger difference, both racing-wise and while watching. On long climbs everything gets more averaged.
But the style of road engineering there looks to be more inclined towards shortcuts, thus making more ramping than winding ascents. The terrain looks as such alike, too.

For some reason the finish is not at the KOM point on the Torgon climb. The road carries on for 3km uphill after the KOM point. It could be changed anyway because of the weather.

Edit - looking at Google maps, there seems to be only one road up to the finish - which can be seen on the photo on the official website -

the finishing climb is not in danger, is what I read yesterday. Jaunpass and Col des Mosses may very well be scrapped though

That would be a sensible decision, those descents could be dangerous, if snowy, a bit of snowfall uphill on the other hand isn't a big deal.

Due to weather conditions the stage stage has been shortened from 173.7 km to only 107.6 kilometers.

Shame the stage was shortened but it was to be expected. Now, it'll be a fast and furious rush to the Torgon climb.
(So the Queen Stage has become a "Princess Stage"? :) )

Also with the original route everybody would have waited for the last climb, so it's not too tragic imo.
