I've just watched the final part of the stage. Nice win for Rogla. I've always thought he's one of the best sprinters among climbers. He has lost a lot of sprints before because he usually went against Alaphilippe who is in my opinion the fastest rider among non sprinters (also excluding Sagan and MvdP) or because he usually starts the sprint from a bad position, mainly from the front.

He didn't look that good on the climbs though. Gaudu and Thomas were very impressive there I have to say.

I also think Roglic could have beaten Fuglsang last Sunday. He seems good in bad weather, looked stronger than fulgsang in tirreno adriatico in my opinion and could beat fuglsang in a sprint with out pedalling.

How could he beat Fuglsang when he's getting dropped uphill, you certainly don't mean with his actual form, building up for the Giro.

Too bad Fatancur didn't have enough energy to go for it once he bridged to G.

Nice win by the ski jumper

He had, but he started playing games, like in that Giro stage with Mohoric. He hasn't learned anything from that...

Interested to see what the sprinters teams excuses are for this **** up.
They were really dumb to let Küng go in the break. He always wins from a break in Romandie.

Bennett second. Bora don’t provide him with a lead out, unlike Ackermann, but you would expect them to be able to make sure a stage like that produces a chance to sprint at least.

Küng is an absolute beast on this occasions. Hopefully he will also have a better classic campaign next year. 11th at Paris-Roubaix was his best this year, which is not bad, but he could still do better.

Is this becoming Kung's "thing"? Winning a stage in Romandie every other year.
Guess we'll have to wait till 2021 to see...

Well when Kung is in the break and they have 2 minutes with 30 kms to go - You play around on a fairly downhill and technical finish on a wet day with a strong rider at the front then you may have a problem.

This, it looked like nobody in the bunch wanted to take risks when the rain started again.

You could have left it at that.

Küng will ever be the new Cancellara. He is more like a rouleur version of De Gendt or De Marchi.

There need to be more challenging flat-ish stages in general. Make the routes more narrow, add some cobbled sections, add some gravel. The big guys who aren't sprinters need stages too. It's a joy to watch Küng on his own.

The weather was definitely the problem. I can see why the peloton didnt want to take a lot of risks.

Kung was also really strong.

Hail the Küng! (sorry, could n't resist it :) ) - Chapeau!

It's a double breakaway day with the win in Yorkshire by Asselman.

It's always beautiful to see a fully paid up member of the Pursuiter's Union win in such a dominant fashion.

I'm assuming this is the last km up to the finish line (which they do 3 times in total)

Colbrelli vs. Roglic for the sprint. And I wouldn't even be surprised if Roglic beats him.

De Gendt to have a go today? Otherwise Roglic, Van Baarle or G, or someone who does not mind the rain!
