I guess that they will race this one less jard than stage 1 because of the mtf tomorrow, this one could go to the breakaway.
Otherwise even someone like Consonni has a chance if he isn't dropped before the final, he's a solid sprinter who only weights 60kg.

Küng gets robbed!
"only use on podium"? WTF?! The guy sweats all day to win a stage and he can n't even have a mouthfull - a disgrace! Give him the bottle to share with the team - that's what a good sponsor would do - cheapskates!

(Note - I do know that all of those bottles have that label on - just trying to lighten up people's day)

Colbrelli vs. Roglic for the sprint. And I wouldn't even be surprised if Roglic beats him.

Surely that last km is too tough for Colbrelli?
I think it's perfect for him, he has won on such finishes before.

Rogla got boxed in, came from far behind to still finish second (or third?). Was shaking his head after the finish, he had the legs. Oh well. Congrats too Gaudu, great ride.

When EF keeps working like that, it never ends well for them. Woods started the final climb way too far back. I don't know why Carthy was the first to work instead of guys like Dombrowski, Caicedo and Brown- there weren't any dangerous attacks, there was no need to send one of your strongest guys to work so early and in the end, the team doesn't have enough steam left to deliver Woods in good position for the finale. Burning matches when there's no need to, leaving Woods isolated (there were team-mates left in group but nobody helping with positioning while Woods was struggling for positioning many times in the last 20k), and burning up the guys who still could do well on GC (as Woods is a weak TT-ist, he wasn't probably EF's best bet for GC in this race to begin with). That doesn't seem to me like good tactics. I understand they probably wanted to make the stage hard to maximise Woods' chances for stage win but I think their efforts were way too chaotic to bring success.

I know it was an uphill finish but I'm sure we've had other situations (this year possibly in asia somewhere) when there was a crash during the sprint and riders were given the same time as a random faster group. Not this time with knox?

Nice uphill sprint battle today. I've also noticed that Primoz now has his name printed on top of his helmet. :)
