Just think its a bit weird if they indeed planned to select him that he would ride those races between the Giro and the Vuelta, but of course, he has just proven himself to be so valuable that it might be hard not to. Especially now that Valls had that horrible crash and Betancur still cant climb properly (I think those two were pencilled in for the Vuelta originally).

Well according to Quintana, he, Carapaz, Valverde and Soler will all ride.
Then you have two riders for the flats (two of Sutterlin, Erviti and Rojas) and Ruben Fernandez should be there too. It will likely be between Betancur and Pedrero for the last spot.

Anyway good win from Sosa.

Sosa was by far the best climber in the race, so naturally, he wins. But can he more than just climb?

Anyone know why they ditched the harder Neila stage? Was always a great stage to watch. I mean this is good as well, but without climbs beforehand, it also comes down to that last ramp.

If the idea is to keep Lagunas de Neila finish as a one - climb stage, my wish for next year is to see a harder side used, not the one where it's only 2.5 km that are difficult.

No. He's a godawful TT'er. Makes Purito look like Indurain.

Nizzolo when he turned pro was supposed to become more a fast puncheur than a pure sprinter and in the first year as pro he won the hilly stage in the Tour de Wallonie along with finishes with the bests in La Gileppe at Ster ZLM Toer and Geraardsbergen at the Eneco Tour, after that he regressed to (mediocre) pure sprinter but if he worked again on it should be in him winning uphill sprints.

So, hasn't this year's Vuelta a Burgos been a bit dull compared to earlier years? At least the two MTFs? I mean with Carapaz not in his best shape, it was pretty much a one man show just like it is the case in Utah at the moment.
