Chapeau!
I hope there is a climb where Cecilie can get away. She hasn't seemed to be breathing so far. And if she got a medal, we all know what kinds of reactions that would lead to.
Haven't watched from the beginning, but both Austrian TV and gcn stated that she attacked at kilometer 0, so is say she was at least one of the initiators. Was she the one who initiated the breakaway? And the two others joined and then combined effort for first couple hours?
The race organisers didn't deign to let the women have a climb.I hope there is a climb where Cecilie can get away. She hasn't seemed to be breathing so far. And if she got a medal, we all know what kinds of reactions that would lead to.

You can try to explain it any way for your own liking, but the fact is the Dutch lost the Olympics today for their own stupidity. No-one else to blame.I blame the Italians and Spanish. There was a period where the main group split and the Dutch were all on the wrong side and they just looked around. Awful racing.
When she had a teammate and the Dutch on the wrong side of the split though...Sure, now Longo Borghini wants to ride.
At least the Dutch actually tried somethingYou can try to explain it any way for your own liking, but the fact is the Dutch lost the Olympics today for their own stupidity. No-one else to blame.
