I think Thomas will want to take a meaningful chunk of time and if he doesn’t it’s not a great sign for him
As a counterpoint, Thomas has a long history of bad crashes, and never accumulated the palmarès in the classics he could have done - in fact it's a large part of why he went the direction he did as a rider - so with the wind being as it is, he might go all out to gain time, but he might just be happy getting into the city upright, and then taking what he can on the flat.

As a counterpoint, Thomas has a long history of bad crashes, and never accumulated the palmarès in the classics he could have done - in fact it's a large part of why he went the direction he did as a rider - so with the wind being as it is, he might go all out to gain time, but he might just be happy getting into the city upright, and then taking what he can on the flat.

As the wind continues to get worse, I tend to agree. Dennis is riding like it’s very bad out there at the moment

He was blown away by the wind in Gent Wevelgem, wasn't he?
