This is awesome for folks on the US west coast—I don’t have to be up at 5:00am just the catch the last 1.5 hrs of a race (or even earlier if I want to see more of the race).

Surprised by how few people are backing Bennett, the guy has shown he's willing to leave the peloton instead of just waiting in the wheels and if you can't shake him off on the poggio, he's a sure bet to win the sprint from a small bunch
He’s done the race several times and never been with the lead group at the back end of the Poggio. Yes, he’s one of the better climbers among the sprinters, but there’s more than just climbing to getting to the Via Roma.

Such a shame that this is taking place in August as I love watching the peloton trundle through the coastal towns from Genoa westwards. This route could be any old tripe from the Giro, last few usual bumps excluded.

Gap coming down faster, in about 12km the descent of Colle di Nava will start, things might get interesting.
