Vlasov looking very strong. It looks like Quintana's early season bubble has burst with the injury.

I have to say I am quite dissapointed with Quintana here. After the spring magic he delivered us, I thought he is back at the top of climbers...

He was hit by a car whilst training in Colombia - about a month ago. No doubt that hindered some of his preparation

I still wish I had a gif from the 2017 of Contador asking Nairo if he wants to go on the attack and Nairo just stone faced shakes his head as though he was all sadly depressed and can’t muster the energy.

Distance is big to the small group.

This is Dejavu of comparing the start of the season with riders before the Tour de France.

I was rewatching the Vuelta 2017 a bit this week, Contador did that a few times himself to Nibali. At least twice it was

"Hey Berto, wann go destroy the Sky train"
"Sí, always any day"

Nibs: Attacks
Contador: follows

Nibs does a big turn. He looks at Contador, and then you can just see Contador going like "sorry man I'm so dead"

The moto did a good job for Vlasov. It's a headwind and instead of riding next to him, the moto always was in front of him.
Would have also won without the help
