2020 Tour Colombia 2.1 - February 11-16

Is Higuita 2020's Pogacar? His situation with the team is a little different--I don't even know if he'll be slated for one of the grand tours. Higuita may be the more explosive climber but might not be as strong with time trials, just going by his diminutive size and the natural disadvantage on ITTs that comes with that. Still . . . he hung with the other EF guys in the winning team time trial on the opening stage.

Also kudos to Martinez. Silly crash, got back although the finale was opened up bigtime already, and finished a decent fourth in the end.

Higuita is not faster than Alaphilippe, look at the sprints the Frenchman won last year. And today wasn't a normal sprint as well. Heads off to the Colombian anyway, nice win.

Quite a speeding to the line.
Bridging with the panache from Alaphilippe despite staying short of breath to finish the job off. Somewhere lower he might've done it, I feel.
Different sort of obstacle on Sunday, looking forward to seeing the selection there and EF vs. Ineos (it seems).

Maybe we should also look at how Higuita sprints when making a comparison between them.

He seems really, really fast for his type of rider.
