All hysteria aside, there are prospects needing to reaffirm themselves in this race and teams to assure us the coming years will bring diversity in the GT field.

If Evenepoel wins this forum will collectively lose its mind
Remco with 60,5 kg. Where on world did you see a guy with 60,5 kg winning flat time trial on day one of Grand Tour? Do not compare this with Vuelta San Juan Time Trial in January 2020.
This one tomorrow is like old school display of power from big guys back in the days. Rominger, Boardman, Lance, Cancellara. No way that a guy with 60,5 kg can do this.
*decadesno matter if he wins or not, his thread will be a cluster**** tomorrow evening. And for the next 3 weeks.
40 km time trial is different, Remco can easily win such a time trial against Ganna and Cavagna, but winning 10 minutes of pure flat time trial, I think this is so much different. More like track race tomorrow, while WC Time Trials are always mix of pure endurance and power. Tomorrow, just the absolute power matters. He won silver at TT WC in 2019 but he was a fatboy then.
If Nibali wins I will have lost my mind before being able to witness the forum losing its.Not as much as it will if Nibali wins.

Remember this one, I think that such a strong wind helped Remco which is very small and has (or had) very good, aero position. Big guys had problems on such an exposed terrain. In the city of Torino, I think the wind will not be such a factorI also think this time trial suits Ganna more but he won the pan flat and very windy ECC TT in 2019 against the likes of Asgreen, Affini and Ganna himself. That one was 22km so still not entirely comparable but I do think he can win.
Strong wind doesn't help the small guys. The rest of the top 8 were all 75kg+ riders.Remember this one, I think that such a strong wind helped Remco which is very small and has (or had) very good, aero position. On a flat route, headwind is a relative advantage for the most aero riders.Strong wind doesn't help the small guys. The rest of the top 8 were all 75kg+ riders.
That's true, but that parcours of the EC ITT in 2019 was only headwind in the second half. Evenepoel was also way quicker on the first part with massive tailwind. On a flat route, headwind is a relative advantage for the most aero riders.

He'll probably be a marker for the others of where there is danger of crashing.Campenaerts is the third rider to start so there'll probably be a target time very early.
Why do you say that? I haven’t seen so much interest in the Giro in a long time, and that’s a really good thing!no matter if he wins or not, his thread will be a cluster**** tomorrow evening. And for the next 3 weeks.
