So sad that the competition for first place is about zero exciting. Bernal is so much stronger than this field of competition.
Too bad Almeida lost time in the beginning because he has actually looked good comparatively.

Is 2 minutes back really the standard Yates thing? I feel like usually he is either 10 minutes back or 2 minutes in front. Just not in between.
If we include other stage races it's pretty much random top 10 places in medium mountain stages and nuke the unipuerto 25-40 minute climb.

That Almeida guy looked good, reckon he'd do well given a chance for himself
True, Almaida looked good. But would him not waiting for Remco in today stage make a difference? It is not like he could win since their was an escape ahead. (also have huge doubts if he would beat Bernal..) and he is so far back in GC that i don't know if it matters... not like he would make it to the top5.
Think it is better if he looses some more time and go in a break or attack from far.

Eurosport saying that stage didn't disappoint :D. Jesus they have low expectations
They're just going through the motions. It's what you say when you're a Eurosport commentator. At least it seems to be for the British. That being said, the climb went more or less as expected, with the hardest part so close to the finish.

Yeah, wasn't this what we all expected more or less, nothing happened until the last 3 km? it happened exactly as expected. Only difference was that Astana worked hard until it really started to matter :)
