Dont know, this doesnt look good for next stages

What do we have though. Tomorrow will likely have no action, Friday is now even more so all about the MTF so all we have is Saturday as Yates ain't taking loads of time out in the TT.

If we had clear weather on Monday, this could be an entirely different race but as is, I can't see Bernal losing this still.

Maybe I'm wrong but I have the impression it was a collective collapse in W/kg for
the favorites. Jai Hindley with last year's shape would have destroyed these amateurs.

Maybe, but he only lost time to Almeida who is out of it and Yates who is over 3 minutes back. And Yates hasn't exactly been consistent this Giro.
Apart from bad weather stages he was consistent imho. And if he really intended to wait for 3rd week it may be super interesting now

Congrats to Dan Martin.
A tough stage to win and he managed to hold off.

Yates excels on gradients. If it isn't Zoncolan's harder side it's this ramp.
Looking forward to the interviews.

And Yates is a worse time-trialist. But still, if Yates tries from far out on another stage, maybe Bernal will get into the red too early and blows up.

Hindsight is easy, but Bernal looked very labored following Yates' attack. No really need when hes so long back and you have Martinez

Even without Landa, if Caruso had Mohoric, Bahrain would have some fun on a descent somewhere and taking this out from longer range.
